Principia Mission Space Diary

The Principia Mission Space Diary is a free, interactive and empowering STEM learning programme that allows children to learn about space, strengthen their literacy skills and much more, while following ESA Astronaut Tim Peake’s Principia space mission. The programme links to the Primary Science curricula in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and also links to English/Literacy, Maths, ICT/Computing, DT, PE, SMSC, British Values, Geography and more!

Written and developed by author Lucy Hawking and publisher Kristen Harrison, and with guidance and contributions from Professor Peter McOwan and other experts, the diary comprises a series of exercises, activities and challenges that get children engaged with STEM subjects, literacy learning and researching scientific information.
“Now that I’m back safely on Earth, I look forward to seeing what this new corps of Space Apprentices do with their new Space Diaries.” – ESA Astronaut Tim Peake
